Though this latest survey reveals that a large proportion are still looking to take advantage of opportunities presented from the economic climate, the number is slightly down from March 2009.
Compared to 60% in the early part of 2009, 43% said they were or had recently purchased property developers’ excess stock. The percentage of those looking to buy land for development and those forming strategic alliances or partnership arrangements remained at around half.
Only one in ten were seriously looking at merger and acquisition opportunities.
Which opportunities has your organisation taken in the current economic climate?

"As in our survey from early 2009, over 80% see the present climate as affording opportunities, although only 43% of those taking action have purchased excess stock from property developers, compared to more than 60% six months before. Even so, this is having a significant impact, presumably backed by financial assistance from Government agencies."
