Pensions review to help minimise costs and maximise benefits

With the cost of pensions continuing to increase considerably, the social housing sector has also faced challenges to maintain costs. 
 
We have a number of social housing clients that have varied types of pension schemes including different types of defined benefit schemes.
 
To help our clients minimise their costs and maximise benefits, our pension specialists have conducted pension reviews; one of which was for the pension scheme operated by a large RSL. The review involved:

• considering the costs verses benefits for the association and its staff
• appraising the financial implication of the pension deficit
• advising on and assisting implement appropriate alternative strategies.

The benefits gained by the client were that they were able to enhance the cost benefit of their pension schemes.
